The Batmans of yesteryear were all about their "KAPOWs," "BIFs," "POWs," and "ZAPs." From the latest combat trailer from Eidos and Rocksteady Games, upcoming Batman: Arkham Asylum, it's pretty clear that the old skool camp vibe played absolutely no part in the production of this game.
Instead, what we have is a dark, nitty gritty and pretty brutal fighting mechanic built in, so expect more "CRUNCHs" and "CRACKs" during the combat scenes. Now, if only Robin was around so we could inflict that sort of carnage on him, then we'd be even more happy ... chance would be a fine thing though.
